and thank you so much for visiting!
I'm David. I'm a British voiceover artist who was brought up in Scotland and lives in England... as a result my voice has a soft and earthy Scottish edge coupled with a clear and articulate British accent.
I spent over twenty years as a designer in the theatre industry, collaborating in over 150 theatre productions in the UK, Europe and internationally and so I perfectly understand the importance of communication with an audience across many different cultures.
"David Holmes possesses the rare ability to put you at ease immediately; he is the definition of an ice-breaker. His sincere & cultured voice makes him highly suited to corporate projects and to layered characters in drama."
★★★★★ Alicia, Director, Audioquants
As a voice artist I have worked on a great many projects in many genres and tend to specialise in Corporate Narration, Meditation, Commercials, Live Event Announcing & Animation Characters.
This 'ability' is also characteristic in my work, blending:
• Confidence
• Relatability
• Warmth
• Reassurance & encouragement
• Calm Instruction
I’m passionate about topics embracing Mental Wellbeing, Neuro-diversity & Ecology.
My voice tends to be described as Fatherly, Warm, Reassuring & Engaging.
I also love my work as a voiceover actor on audio-dramas, role-play training &
animation characters with its need for fast-thinking and numerous emotional switches.
"A wonderful narrator & second-to-none character actor. If you haven't hired him yet
(& why haven't you?) take it from me - you'll want to remedy that ASAP."
★★★★★ Sean, Director, Hapstance Films
As a voice artist I have worked on a great many projects in many genres and tend to specialise in Corporate Video Narration, Radio & Social Media advertising & E-Learning.

Why you should get in touch

I'm here - in my very lovely studio... day in, day out.
This is what I do.
It's great!
The microphone is always on, so please don't be a stranger: Get in touch.
I'm happy to talk about working together, or maybe...potentially...perhaps working together, or about helping you quote for a project bid!
Here is my promise to you:
In the unlikely circumstances I can't help you myself
(eg. you decide you want the voice of a granny from Aberystwyth)
I will personally recommend and put you in touch with a reliable, professional voice artist
from my network who can do exactly that!
So... now there really is nothing to keep you from getting in touch!
I'll just go and stand by the phone now.

I'm really very nice
& approachable!
